FAQ
What does JetWay Private Air do?
JetWay provides customized private aviation services to individuals, business executives, and other global travelers. We focus on customer service and client safety while providing substantial financial savings over companies that offer fractional jet ownership or jet time-card programs alone. Strategically we do not maintain our own fleet of airplanes in order to remain an independent advocate that represent the best interests of our clients. Our customized private aviation solutions target a perfect marriage between our clients’ needs and the planes in which they fly. Our ultimate goal is simple: to find you the most cost effective means for you to complete your travel while maintaining the highest levels of flight safety and personal attention.
Booking a flight with JetWay is simple and we refer to this process as the JetWayDNA approach. To receive a quote, all we need is your DNA:
- D – Destination
- N – Number of days that elapse from your departure date to your return date
- A – Average number of occupied flight hours for the trip (we calculate this number)
- Reviewing all trip requirements and selecting the appropriate aircraft solution.
- Confirming all ground transportation, catering, and other special requests.
- Confirming aircraft safety and crew qualifications with ARGUS TripCHEQ before your trip launches.
- Reviewing all trip times and costs to ensure their reasonableness and accuracy.
- Following up with you to confirm your satisfaction with the flight experience.
- Calculating your JetWayONE Rewards points that you accrue for complimentary flight hours.
Are You Overpaying with your Current Private Jet Company?
You are probably wasting thousands and thousands of your hard-earned dollars every year if you do the following:
- Just fly with a large jet “card” program (since all of your trips with very few exceptions are better suited for “on demand charter”),
- Just fly in “jets” (since using turbo-props from time to time for your shorter trips is cost effective), or
- Just use your “fractional share” for all of your trips (again, since all of your trips with very few exceptions are better suited for “on demand charter”).
What are the advantages to flying with JetWay versus its competitors?
It’s the unique “JetWayDNA” approach that we employ. The reality is that every customer’s trip has a unique DNA that must be understood before it can be addressed with the right solution. What’s happening in the market today is that companies are packaging their products, whether they be “fractional” or “card”, as a “one size fits all”. But the fact is every trip is different. As you know, some trips are best suited to “light” jets, some to “mid-size” jets and others to “heavy jets”. In our DNA approach, the D stands for destination; the N stands for the number of days in your itinerary (from the time you leave until the time you return); and the A stands for the average number of occupied flight hours per day of your itinerary. When you perform this analysis and understand the unique nature of each trip, it’s easy to determine the most optimal “on demand charter” solution to apply.
One of the reasons I started JetWay was to expose the inefficiencies in the private jet market. Jet cards are extremely inefficient and wasteful with their high hourly rates, excessive fuel surcharges (that cover trips that the client isn’t even on), “peak period” booking restrictions, and penalties (such as “interchange” charges that can run upwards of 20%). Almost every private jet trip is best better suited for an “on demand charter” solution. And the fact is that fractional card companies like Marquis Jet send their clients “charter” aircraft all of the time (in their contracts these companies reserve the right to send a charter plane that’s “comparable” to the one requested) but if they save money on that plane they don’t pass along the savings to their client. At JetWay we study the DNA of each trip and try to save you money for our clients when we can. We recently saved a client $78,000 on a quick trip to the Caribbean by securing an on demand “charter” solution and keeping his jet with him during his stay. I told him that on this trip alone, we saved him what it cost to send my kid to Amherst for two years!
